Key takeaways
- Botify is built around crawling, log analysis, rendering, and indexation on sites with millions of URLs. seoClarity is a wider suite that adds rank tracking, keyword research, content tools, and its own crawler.
- On AI search, seoClarity publishes more detail. Its ArcAI product covers 10 AI engines per its own comparison post. Botify does not publish a supported engine list as of the sources I checked.
- Neither vendor shows a firm price on its own site. Third-party sources quote seoClarity at $2,500 to $4,500 a month and Botify at roughly $2,000 a month. Treat all of those as unverified.
- Choose Botify when crawl budget and indexation are the bottleneck. Choose seoClarity when you want one platform for rankings, content, technical work, and AI visibility.
- Both sell AI bot log analysis, which is the most practical way to find out whether AI crawlers can reach your pages.
Why this comparison keeps coming up
Botify and seoClarity show up on the same shortlists, and Conductor's 2026 ranking of enterprise platforms puts them back to back at #3 and #4. That ranking is vendor-written (Conductor puts itself first), so take the order with salt. But the adjacency makes sense. Both have crawlers. Both have log file analysis. Both now claim AI search features.
They are not the same kind of product, though. One is a specialist that has spread outward from technical SEO. The other is a suite that has spread outward from rankings and data. If you pick based on the feature checklist alone, you will probably be disappointed by one of them.

Botify at a glance
Botify starts from the technical foundation: how search engines discover, crawl, render, and index your content. PikaSEO describes a three-part architecture: Botify Analytics for data, Botify Intelligence for AI insights, and Botify Activation for automated implementation. The idea is a closed loop where issues are found, prioritized, and fixed at scale.
What it is good at:
- Crawling very large sites, including JavaScript rendering analysis for modern web apps
- Log file analysis that shows how bots spend their crawl budget and which pages they ignore
- Combining crawl, log, and analytics data per URL
- Large e-commerce sites, marketplaces, and publishers where crawl and indexation decide visibility
What it is weaker at: rank tracking is described as basic and content guidance as limited in one 2026 comparison. That is by design. It is not trying to be your keyword research tool.
Botify's AI search features
Botify now calls itself an AI search optimization platform. Per the seoClarity-published comparison of enterprise AI visibility platforms (so a competitor's summary, keep that in mind), its AI Visibility product generates prompts automatically from your top Google Search Console keywords and People Also Ask questions. It lists share of voice, citations and rankings, mention and citation counts, and LLM-based sentiment.
Two pieces are more unusual:
- SmartIndex can notify search and AI engines of page changes through IndexNow.
- It can serve content to visiting bots, which is a bot-facing delivery approach rather than a pure monitoring one.
What I could not find is a published list of supported AI engines. Indexable's 2026 roundup also marks it as not published (checked September 20). Ask for that in writing during the demo.
seoClarity at a glance

seoClarity, from Actonia, Inc., unifies rank tracking, keyword research, technical auditing, content optimization, and analytics. It leans on data scale, open API access, and integrations with Google Search Console, GA4, Adobe Analytics, and BI tools. SalesHive's review lists its main competitors as BrightEdge, Conductor, and Searchmetrics, and notes Botify as a rival only for specific technical crawling use cases.
Key pieces:
- Technical SEO site audits with JavaScript rendering and 100+ checks, per SalesHive
- Log file analysis and ClarityBot
- Research Grid keyword data, Content Fusion AI writer, and content briefs
- ClarityAutomate for no-code deployment and split testing of SEO changes
- Actionable Insights, an AI assistant that surfaces anomalies and opportunities
- SOC 2 audit compliance, SSO, and user access levels
seoClarity's AI search features (ArcAI)
ArcAI is where seoClarity is more explicit. According to the vendor's own post, it supports 10 AI search engines: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek, Doubao, and Claude. It reports mention share of voice and citation share of voice against mapped competitors, filterable by engine, plus sentiment analysis. Prompt research is tied to real search demand and mapped to buyer-journey stages.
A few extras worth noting:
- ArcAI Accuracy builds a source-of-truth index from the factual sections of your site and flags AI answers that conflict with it
- AI Bot Activity uses log files to show which URLs AI crawlers visit and miss
- ArcAI Indexer detects new pages on a verified domain and submits them to AI engines, often the same day, though submission does not guarantee a crawl
- Reporting compares conversions from AI-referred traffic with organic search
- Each business unit can have its own competitor set

One caveat. That comparison is published by seoClarity itself, so its framing flatters ArcAI. The facts about what each product lists are useful. The "best for" verdicts are marketing.

Pricing: what we can and cannot say
I checked seoClarity's pricing page and it shows no numbers. It talks about flexible, customized plans and routes you to a demo. The $2,500, $3,200 and $4,500 monthly figures come from third-party roundups, and I could not confirm them on the vendor's site. Botify's pricing is also unpublished, with a demo redirect. PikaSEO's roughly $2,000 a month is a starting estimate, not a quote.
Practical advice: get both quotes in writing, and ask what is included. Crawl limits, number of tracked prompts, user seats, and API access can change the real cost more than the headline number. I found no head-to-head benchmarks or published crawl limits for either, so do not assume equal footing.
How to choose
Pick Botify if
- Your site has millions of URLs and crawl budget is a real constraint
- Your biggest SEO losses come from indexation, rendering, or faceted navigation
- You already have a separate rank tracker and content stack
- You want bot-facing delivery and IndexNow-style notification as part of the product
Pick seoClarity if
- You want rankings, keyword research, content, technical audits, and AI visibility in one contract
- You need a documented list of AI engines and per-business-unit competitor sets
- You value API access and BI integrations for your own data warehouse
- Execution without developer tickets (ClarityAutomate) matters to you
Run both when
Some very large teams do. Botify handles deep crawl and log work while another platform handles the broader suite. It is expensive, and overlapping log analysis is a waste, so only do it if the two jobs are truly separate.
Check AI crawler access, whichever you buy
Both vendors sell AI bot log analysis, and that is the feature I would test first in a trial. Promptwatch Data tracked IP-verified AI crawler requests and found OpenAI's share fell from 94.8% (Jun 8-14, 2026) to 79.8% (Aug 31-Sep 6, 2026), so the mix is shifting. See the AI crawler traffic report. The sensible check: compare your own logs against that mix. If a provider is big in the report but close to zero in your logs, you are probably blocked by robots.txt, a CDN, or a WAF rule.
Another data point: Promptwatch Data found that Meta-WebIndexer went from about 2% to nearly 38% of tracked AI crawler requests between mid-July and August 9, 2026 (report). Confirm that whichever tool you pick recognizes newer bots like that, not just GPTBot.
Where a dedicated AI visibility tool fits
Both platforms are SEO-first with an AI layer added on. If AI search is the main project, a dedicated platform may go deeper on prompt tracking and optimization. Promptwatch tracks the real interfaces of ChatGPT, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, and Copilot, and adds crawler logs and AI traffic attribution plus content generation.

Other enterprise-minded options in the directory include Conductor and BrightEdge for suite buyers, and Lumar for a Botify-style technical specialist.

For a wider list of AI visibility tools, the GEO software directory at bestgeosoftware.com is a good next stop.
Questions to ask in the demo
- Which AI engines are tracked, in writing, and are they measured through real interfaces or APIs?
- How many prompts and how many responses per month are included in my tier?
- Which AI crawlers does your log analysis identify, and are they IP-verified?
- What are the crawl limits and refresh frequency on my plan?
- Can I export all data through an API, and is that included?
- What happens to execution features (ClarityAutomate, Botify Activation) if my engineering team owns the template layer?
- Who is my named support contact, and is that included in the price?
Verdict
If your problem is that search engines cannot efficiently crawl and index a huge site, Botify is the more focused answer. If your problem is that you need a single enterprise platform that covers rankings, content, technical, and a documented AI search product, seoClarity is the safer shortlist pick. Neither will do your strategy for you, and neither has transparent pricing. Run a trial on your own logs, ask for the engine list, and decide based on what you find, not on whose comparison page you read.
